The Board 2018-2019

Johanna Mantere (SU)    President   Johanna is our President and represents our member organisation Svensk Ungdom from Finland. She is a Swedish-speaking Finn currently living in Turku, Finland, where she is writing her master’s thesis within public international law and human rights. Her special areas of interest are international criminal law, humanitarian law, refugees and migration. Our President is also a confirmed foodie with a gusto for Nordic cuisine who balances up her life with yoga.

Juho Kekäläinen (KOL)    Vice President   Juho represents our member organisation Keskustan Opiskelijaliitto (KOL) from Finland. He studies Environmental Technology at the Lappeenranta University of Technology. His areas of interests are International Relations, Climate Change and Entrepreneurship.

Lucas Hjorth Honoré    Vice President   Lucas represent our member organisation Radikal Ungdom (RU) from Denmark. Currently studies political science at the University of Copenhagen. He is passionate about global - especially Nordic - co-operation, mainly within the field of business, labour market, education and sustainability. Besides politics, Lucas is interested in philosophy, art and European literature. He firmly believes in cosmopolitanism, on the basis of Nordic values and strong institutions.

Lucas represent our member organisation Radikal Ungdom (RU) from Denmark. Currently studies political science at the University of Copenhagen. He is passionate about global - especially Nordic - co-operation, mainly within the field of business, labour market, education and sustainability. Besides politics, Lucas is interested in philosophy, art and European literature. He firmly believes in cosmopolitanism, on the basis of Nordic values and strong institutions.

She is studying rural development at the Swedish University of Agricultural Science, while working as a columnist and ambassador for forestry and agriculture. Her main interests are obvious (see above), but also extend to environmental issues and entrepreneurship.

She is studying rural development at the Swedish University of Agricultural Science, while working as a columnist and ambassador for forestry and agriculture. Her main interests are obvious (see above), but also extend to environmental issues and entrepreneurship.

Astrid Martinsson (CS)    Board Member   Astrid represents our member organisation Centerstudenter (CS) from Sweden. She studies engineering at Lunds Tekniska Högskola. In terms of political interest she is most into climate change and energy supply.

Niina Ojala (KeNu)    Board Member   Niina represents the Finnish Keskustanuoret in the board. She has a MA in German language and translation and is currently working as a freelance translator. The most important political themes for Niina are Nordic cooperation, Arctic issues, education and human rights. Niina proclaims herself as a huge nerd and spends her free hours mostly reading fiction.

She studies biology at the University of Iceland in Reykjavik, and works along with her studies as a support teacher at a kindergarten. Her main areas of interest are environmental issues, agriculture, human rights and education. She is a country girl by heart but loves to travel and explore new places.

Lars Myhr Sandlund (SUL)    Board Member   Lars is from Norway, and represents Senterungdommen. He is 19 and studies history at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, in Trondheim. His main interest in politics are culture, nordic cooperation, agriculture, and living local communities. Lars finds youth involvement in politics extremely important. He strongly believes that his home town, the rural Mære located in the middle of Norway, is the best place on Earth.
